Qsc touchmix 30 phantom power loss

Postby funkydingo41 » Sun Nov 03, 2019 2:03 pm

We have a touchmix 30 just over year old and this morning lost phantom power on all input channels. Phantom power works on selectable talkback channel.

Down powerdown, reset all phantom powers and tested all leads also used tester direct from rear of desk. Holding short of factory reset. Firmware upto date.

Sounds like a power supply failure, although it's odd that the talkback channel's phantom still works.

I'm not intimately familiar with the desk... is there a global 'phantom-safe' option in a menu somewhere? Unlikely, but worth checking.

Failing that, I suspect you need to investigate a warranty repair with your dealer/manufacturer.

Or it could be a broken wire/bad solder joint/loose ribbon connector. But it does sound more like hardware than software.
