Jack thanks for the tip re: Acustica. Their stuff has been a revelation to me. Ive read a few reviews by Sam Inglis and see you have been using Acustica for a while.
After reading sam's reviews I was concerned about CPU resources but I had a wavelab stereo session with trial versions of Magenta St EQ, Coral Bax, Azure, Scarlet 4ct, El Rey, Magenta Comp, Ultramarine and Tan loaded simultaneously (to test loading not for artistic reasons) with barely a pop to be heard anywhere. Sure it will be different in logic with a heavier session but I didnt think performance was too bad.
Anyway they are on a massive discount at the moment so I have just bought a few that I really loved.
So thanks for that tip! I will probably take a look at the N4 stuff too once I've got my head around this little lot.
PS. After deciding to follow my head rather than my heart on the subject of hardware eq, I immediately bumped into a second hand G14 for £2K!!
