Any LED-free Hardware Setup (or groovebox) For Producing Electronic Music?

Postby 77 » Tue Dec 10, 2019 7:28 pm

Hi,

I'm looking for a hybrid setup where most of the work is done on hardware instruments and minimum screen time. But most grooveboxes (and other hardware) have LED lights which damage your eyes. Are there any hardware setups or any groovebox out there that is LED-free?
Thanks for reading. Hopefully I get some answers.

Use older equipment with back lit LCDs and non-blue LEDs.

I would have thought the energy from a groove box is a lot less than a large TV or a phone held in your hand ?

High intensity blue LEDs can damage your eyes, but you need a very high luminance level to do so. Do you happily go outside on a sunny day? Because you'll get far more blue light (plus UV) doing that, than from a small screen on a groovebox.
