iPhone app to read bpm?

Postby Dr Huge Longjohns » Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:55 am

Anyone recommend a simple iPhone app that would let me point my phone at a sound source eg the radio or iTunes and give me the bpm? Ta

Not automatic, but there are a few where you tap along and it gives you the BPM - I use one all the time on my iPhone.

The one I use is just called 'Metronome' and is a white logo on a brown background.

It would be convenient to have perfect tempo (as in perfect pitch)

That would be interesting as 1 persons mm120 would be another’s mm119.89.
I always thought perfect pitch would drive one nuts.

Audiokit Hey Metronome on the app store. Voice activated metronome. Might be goofy or might be good.
It’s on sale too!

I've used liveBPM. Sometimes it pickups up a multiple of what I'd consider the true BPM, but one just has to be skeptical in life. It gives a graph of the measurements and I've found it useful for tracking tempo changes in live rehearsals, etc.

Got this. Couldn't be simpler, no frills etc. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/taptempo-tap-for-bpm/id1111883796
