Antoine Baril - One Man Genesis

Here's one Antoine Baril, performing a one-man medley of early Genesis classics.

Wunderbar! Hairs standing up on the back of the neck time folks 8-)

Enjoy!

It's very good indeed. Note that he is the drummer of The Musical Box, probably the best Genesis tribute band around.

But the long hair on the guitar strings was just wrong!

Got to tip a hat to him! I loved it

That must have been a lot of fun to do as well.

I'd love to play any ONE of the parts to that standard!

Yes, this has been played a few times here over the years!

Any chance of a Behringer Pro Soloist reissue?

Half of me agrees, and half of me thinks 'do we need it?'. It remains one of the toughest synths I've ever tried to emulate. It's deceptively simple, but it has some fiendishly sophisticated filtering going on in there. I love mine to bits, but it is sadly far less useful than any other machine I own.

And a nice “...in that quiet earth“ (an underrated Genesis track from one of their greatest albums IMHO). https://youtu.be/oxUsJW1nWtk

His chops are top drawer!

Well I'm glad that so many folk here seemed to enjoy it as much as they did.

Now I know from Wonks that Antoine is the drummer of The Musical Box, all becomes clear - I've watched a few of their videos in the past, and if they ever play in my part of the world I would most definitely buy tickets

You won't be disappointed. I went to see their recreation of the 'Lamb' tour and it was superb.

Side note:
I was in Miami a couple of years ago and was idly wondering where South Beach Studios was located as I took a pic of a gorgeous baby-blue Cadillac - "I'm sure it's around here somewhere". I never gave it a second thought.

Back home I did a search and found out that the Caddy is the studio's and I had been standing right outside! And inside... was TMB rehearsing for the Lamb tour.
