What are the Right Cables for These Devices?

Postby BassFacer67 » Fri Apr 03, 2020 10:21 pm

I am new to recording and need to buy cables to make my new monitors work with my audio interfaces. Can someone please let me know what specific kind of cables are needed to pair the Adam Audio T5V monitors with the following audio interfaces? Are they TLRs? (separately not at the same time). Thanks.

1. Motu M4

2. Apollo Twin X

The Monitors (for reference - Adam T5V)

Thanks,

You are going to need XLR male connectors on the monitor end with TRS on the interface end and good quality two core plus screen cable between those connectors. Something like

I have quite a few Horizon cables from the time when they were trying to break into the UK market (around 20 years ago) and they still all work fine and seem to represent good value for money.

As James and Sam say, TRS to XLR male cables.
