BOSS RC 505 Loop Ststion

Postby Shane2112 » Tue May 05, 2020 12:07 am

Hello!

I have a question about setting up my RC 505 Loop Station
I was wondering if there is a way to record audio upon playback?
For example maybe set each track up so it will start recording when I start to play sound through.
Im fudging around with the settings but getting mixed results
Also if what im saying isnt possible on the RC 505 maybe there is a looper out there that can do this?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

The RC-505 has no triggered record option natively that I am aware of. I have managed to engineer one from the performance software I use, by generating a MIDI controller message derived from audio level. That probably isn't a practical solution for you, but I can tell you that it works.

Re: BOSS RC 505 Loop Station Big Sur Driver

I am wondering if anybody knows when/if Boss will be coming out with a driver for Apple's new OS (Big Sur).

I bought the new Macbook Pro with the M1 chip in early February, but the loop station won't connect to it because there is no driver for the new operating system yet.

Thanks

Welcome!

This is a question for Roland, I would think. Maybe try the Facebook pages related to Roland and/or RC-505.
