I'll probably regret this, but I've been intrigued by some experiments I've been trying.
The SN57/A81WS combination is regarded as a good sounding one, and I thought I'd try some of my collection of cheapie dynamic stage mics combined with some of my collection of cheapie windshields.
I've been struck by the results I got:
Of course it may be explained by the state of my 64-year old musician's ears, but I think the TT1 produced some very usable sounds.
I'd be interested to know what others think. Can it be this easy and cheap? Is it an option folks on a budget might find useful?
