Headset microphone with mx400

Postby kenaida » Tue Jun 30, 2020 2:56 am

I am trying to use my headset microphone through a behringer mx400 so that I can splice in in additional sound input. I'm using 3.5 mm to 1/4 inch TS converter and the same on the output side which goes out to the pc for recording. The other audio input is using the same kind of 3.5mm Jack lead with a TS converter.

I can hear the sound from the audio input but not the mic.

Please help!

The MX400 is advertised as a line level mixer. You need a mic level mixer. Behringer makes many such mixers.

Thanks so much Tim, I spent hours and hours looking for the answer and couldn't find anything!

Very much appreciated.

!

I'm thinking there's a chance it still may not work in a standard preamp/mixer. When you say a headset mic, does it have a 3.5mm TS plug? What is it designed to plug into normally? Can you quote a make and model?
