SE 4400a versus T2

Hi everyone,

I've recently been considering purchasing the SE 4400a (https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/se-electronics-se4400a) and noticed that the SE T2 is around the same price point, with an almost identical feature set.

There are only few comparison reviews online and so I'm not sure which one to choose. I'm looking for an all-round mic that can be used on a variety of sources (e.g. vocal, guitar amp, drums, acoustic guitar). As far as I can tell, the improved transient response of the T2 is the main distinction (other than the chrome finish) and SE themselves seem to be pushing it as a mic for percussive sources, as a consequence.

So, the question: what are your experiences of these two microphones and would you recommend the 4400a or the T2?

Cheers,
Manual
