Is this an M49 or is there not enough detail to tell?

There's nothing in the image for scale, I don't remember there being so many black studs around the back, and I'm surprised there's no serial number plate visible... But despite all that I'd hazard a guess that, yes, it probably is an M49...

Just out of curiosity do you recognise that tuchel connector. Looks very substantial...

Conceivably it could also be an M50, they look extremely similar from the outside.

Went and refreshed my memory yesterday. The reason I didn't remember the black studs is because they're on the mounting frame rather than the mic. And the serial plate is on the sloped underside, so wouldn't be visible at that angle.

And yes, the shape is identical for an M50, although it appears to be set up for vocals with a pop screen which suggests the cardioid pattern is more likely.
