Which cable is required for this? [BAE audio 24V PSU --> Lindell Audio 500 series lunchbox]

Hello,

I uploaded some images I took of the gear in question to imgur:

The output of the BAE 24V PSU is a 4 pin connection whilst the input of the Lindell Audio 500 series is a 5 pin connection...

Is this a 4 pin to 5 pin XLR or is it something more complicated?

Thank you,

Max

Better use the original power supply for the Lindell.

Yes, this. Where power is concerned, if something doesn't fit then it's usually for a good reason.

I don't see how a 24V power supply is going to work with a unit that requires +16V, -16V and 48V. As others have said, use the proper power supply if it is available.

Something a lot more complicated!

The Lindell, like all 500-series racks, requires a PSU capable of delivering plus and minus 16 Volt rails, as well as a 48 Volt rail.

Whereas the BAE power supply provides a single plus 24V power rail which is what the early Neve modules required.

So the two devices produce and require completely different things. Plug one into the other via some weird and wacky adapter cable and it's highly likely the magic smoke will escape and neither will ever work again!
