Hello all. I hope everyone is surviving this third wave of hell. Stay safe out there...
I’d to vary the playback speed of a track across its duration, thus causing it to slow down and speed up, with consequent pitch changes.
Is there a plug in that does this which I can automate?
Am I being very silly and not spotting a very easy way to do this?
Thanks for any helps!
Brian

You can automate the pitch and speed in Reaper, or play rate, I should imagine you can do this with most DAW's, what are you using?

Re: Altering playback speed
I’m on PT 10.
Can’t seem to find such an option...
Is there a plug in that does this maybe? With an automatable “speed” dial?
Something like the Warp effect on Izotope Vinyl, but with an effect on sync with other elements, as well as pitch fluctuation?

Re: Altering playback speed
Elastic Audio should do what you want, and I believe it's included with PT10, no?

Re: Altering playback speed
Just had a good mess with Elastic Audio, and seems to only be automatable via master session tempo, which won't quite do what I want.
Am I being a dope? Can it be applied on a per track basis?
Certainly the Varispeed setting is providing exactly the effect I want. Is there a plug-in that does this, which I can just put on the channel I want?
Thanks for all suggestions so far!

Google is your friend... :)
I entered 'Varispeed plugin' and this popped up:

There's a linked demo vid so you can check it out... and it's free!

Wow. That looks incredible. Will get it going once I migrate to Logic.
Thanks!
Thanks!
