I had a look at EZKeys but did not find how to tune it in concert pitch

There's a panel on the RH side:

and the part has a lot of rubato, so the quantization of the creation tool is a pain in the rear side, as you can't disable the snap

Was going to PM you - I got a "PM received" notification this morning but it pointed to the first msg you sent yesterday! Some shenigans in the PM system, I guess.

But yes, it was good! I'm taking to the piano playing, reworking some bits and adding an additional part of the coda but I will call for your help again soon. Then I may even dare to turn it up in the mix! :lol:

Totally forgot I had booked one of the cars for the roadwhortyness test today, so no piano playing at the moment and I'm just sipping a coffee at a coffeebar waiting for it to be done. Though life!

How did I miss this? It looks great. Maybe it's because I stopped looking for piano samples when I bought Pianoteq. But this is a fabulous resource nonetheless!

Another Pianoteq fan! I have stuck to the basic, stage version, which is all I need, good value at €129.

Pianoteq is the only piano that sounds like a piano to me, its modelling of polyphony beats any sampled piano by a mile, in my opinion.

Agreed, it's the nearest thing to a real piano experience. Another fan here. I love playing on it, even with headphones. Stage is indeed excellent value. I recently upgraded to the Studio version, it's a lot of fun to play around with the actual structure of the piano!

I call it 'feel'; it's a nice sounding term that covers tons of things and is easier to spell than most of them ;)

Gee, if this keeps going on I can almost be convinced that someone likes Pianoteq. :lol:

Funny thing, I've mixed lots of piano and keys but never actually made a piano line before now. It's amazing how it reacts to the slightest differences in volume, just like when plucking a guitar string. Fascinating. Too bad I don't have another life to learn to play it properly.

One of the advantages of being Italian is that most music is notated in my language and I find it very easy to spell :lol:

It's great, and perhaps one of the nicest things here is that a lot of the time these are anything but generic pianos - they are full of personality and uniqueness and quirks, which in many ways makes them more interesting, and more personal.

Plenty of other non-piano stuff too, including some real gems. It's really worth exploring... :thumbup:

Some interesting looking stuff there, do they all require full Kontakt or are some in VST format? I had a quick look and the ones I randomly selected were all for (presumably full) Kontakt.

There’s some EXS format stuff, but Kontakt really is the standard for libraries for composers, and the majority is in that format.

However, they have a thing of making the most out of limited samples, so it wouldn’t be too hard to map the raw samples with some other sampler if necessary...

I tend to find the spitfire labs stuff and the couple of software synths I have cover all the experimental ground I need really. But from time to time it's nice to have extra things to add to the palette.
My remapping that doesn't stack up for my effort vs reward calculations.
