This is excellent, someone from the company involved, actually appears on the forum.
Full marks to Focusrite.

I will wait for the full marks when they reply to my comments. :)
What a poor world it is when just having someone from a company reply to a customer is considered awesome.

Yes, point taken. :)
But in the end it would be awesome to have the point addressed.

Re: No more Focusrite interfaces for me
It is also worth noting (for those who don't spend too much time in the Keyboard & Synths Forum) that, unlike a certain manufacturer of 'affordable' equipment, we got an actual person who identified themselves as working for the company and tried to address the issues raised. We didn't get a Russian troll chip in to try and talk the company up .....
(note: for legal reasons, I am NOT stating that the troll worked for the company. Got that? - not stating that. Not even saying "allegedly". Definitely not suggesting anything about the source of the comments and even more emphatically not suggesting in any way, shape or form that they came from an address used by that company. Got that? NOT saying that. Not even hinting it. Not even offering an opinion on whether or not I believe it to be true on a purely personal level. Really - and it's not because they are known to have an itchy trigger finger in their legal dept)
(and no .. I'm not joking ... it did happen ..)

Quite. All props to Jack F, I am sure he is telling the unvarnished as far as his information goes.
The problem is, in my admittedly limited experience, the 'technical' people in companies tend to be 'mushrooms' and the decisions about products we are discussing here are made by beancounters.
What WOULD be awesome is if the CEO or director of marketing for Focusrite were to come here. How many here remember "The Great Behringer Bottle out"?
Dave.

Haha definitely an improvement, yes!
In the same vein, I hope Jack has the time to to reply beyond generics. I really would like to be able to once again recommend Focusrite's software-enabled products.

Let’s see how far the damage limitation goes...
I think I possibly have the same feeling as you.

I wasn't expecting the Focusrite interface I got for my live rig to compete with my Apogee Symphony I/O, but the sound was so horrible, I really never use it any more. I'm using my old MOTU896HD instead.
