I’ve run out of IEC leads!

I don’t believe it, I really don’t, you can always tell when gear is on the increase here, no leads in my cable box.
I never thought I’d see the day, I had so many I never ever thought I’d run out.
Trouble is, I got them all for nothing, in office clearances etc, but now, god forbid, I may actually have to "buy" some! :shocked: :crazy: :(
Where is the cheapest place? I really do resent having to buy stuff like this.

IEC leads are evil. They breed like rabbits, but as soon as you want one they find the most astonishing places to hide :shocked:

I can understand your confusion. I used to have to make a path through them with a shovel and a machete, but they're a rarer sight nowadays.

Over ten years ago the network Co I worked for got a special job, one of the bosse's mates I think. Anyway it was a steel case with 3 PSUs in it and needed one IEC plug so they bought a shedload of IEC to 13A cables. The guy only took about 100 units then decided he did not want the next 400 or so! I found the rest of the cables in a skip a few month later and got lots of stock! All but gone now and so I too could be in the desperate position of having to buy some!

This is one weird thread, as I'm totally convinced I've read its entire contents before, about a year ago.

I've even sat here checking and double-checking the dates of each post to make sure I'm not fooling myself, but I'm absolutely convinced that this thread has previously existed :crazy:
