SOUND ON SOUND

Ok this is a longshot but here goes. I have a Yamaha MOXF which is my goto keyboard because of its tight integration with Cubase.

But the noise level is quite high I have the audio outs going into my RME audio interface. My other synths are silent (except when played of course)

The MOX seems to have some interference, ok I can live with it, it doesn't become intrusive until I go beyond about level 6 on the input gain knob. But as mentioned, the other synths are silent.

Any ideas?
