Microphones

Postby Alex.1.2.3.4 » Thu Apr 22, 2021 10:50 am

Hi, i am currently writing a report based around microphones. When to use them for specific recording and why. if anyone could fill out this survey for me, i'd appreciate it. Thanks,

Hmmm... don't think you're going to see many useful responses to that survey. The questions are rather limiting and presumptive.

Yep, what Hugh said ^^^. For me, a lot of the answer options need to be multiple selections rather than single option.

And..."Electric guitar" the amplifier surely makes more difference than the microphone? Or at least as much.

Much the same for me. My answer for a large number of the questions would be "It depends!", which I doubt will be a very useful response.

You only allow one microphone for each class of recording, which doesn't work for me. For instance I have several different mics specifically for recording vocals which I use with different voices but your questionnaire only allows for one. Also the choice of instruments are limited. How about fiddle, concertina and flute, all of which I record fairly regularly.

Sorry,

There's no need to apologise. It's good of you to do it and save others from suffering the task.
