I'm stocking up on microphone cables and want to know what Im looking for. I dont want any fiddling around so I want to buy pre made female-male XLRs. So...What do I look for in a good cable?

Mogami or Van Dam have never let me down. WIth Neutrik connectors.

Unless you have a set number of cables you want to purchase and aren't thinking about getting some more, I would recommend making your own. Its MUCH MUCH cheaper and there's a great sense of satisfaction in making your own with bespoke lengths.

I'm not solder expert but it really is that easy.

Canford Audio do custom cables. You can choose the cable type from their catalogue and make sure you get them done with genuine Neutrik connectors.
