Online session drummer

Postby Guest » Sun Oct 07, 2012 11:48 pm

Apologies if this should have been posted elsewhere.

I'm looking for an online session drummer and bass player. Has anyone used someone they'd like to recommend, or heard good results from others? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Guest

I recommend Paul Robinson. He quite often has an advert in SOS.

My company does exactly such things with a roster of musicians (from name projects) who work from here. If thats of interest to you - PM me. Other than that - Paul is highly recommended.

Here's one for you, Farnham area

Donna does the drums

http://donnadoesdrums.com/

Her husband plays bass

They have their own studio http://www.themayfairstudio.com/ if needed, but do do the online stuff as well.

And can call on other musicians if needed, guitarists for example

Hi Stig

I have completed a number of sessions for SOS Forum members, I also work closely with a great Bassist !

Contact me for a chat about what you need, rates are flexible and as we do this as a sideline to my band.

I don't wanna appear too negative, but Will is gonna need some better demos...the second ('funk play') one for example is completely out of time. I notice his band video is dead tight so he can obviously play, but Will - sort the demos out - paying people are discriminating ffs!

Cheers,

If you haven't found someone yet, feel free to pm me on here. I have worked with several remote drummers over the last couple of years and could recommend someone, depending on your style and tastes. (Could share samples too.)

I tend to use different ones for different types of songs --ie a heavy rock song vs. more of a pop song, and also whether I want someone really creative and inventive vs. someone simple and/or able to recreate a midi track I've put together.

I have 5 that I worked with on my recent album, all quite solid and good for different styles, and at varied prices. From ~$50/song to ~$160/song. Most also give bulk discounts.

I also have a go-to bassist.

Er.. the original post being from 2012, if the OP hasn't found someone yet he must be extremely slow in producing music... :bouncy:

Hahaha, woooow. Entirely did not notice that. It was just at the top of the forum so I replied.

That being said, if OP is truly that picky, I do have some recommendations.

A therapist, for one.

And to be fair, I've got projects in the file that have been going on nearly that long! :)
