OK, well this may not really be your area but I'll ask anyway if I may. I'm interested in the Softube Console 1 because of its integration with the Apollo (which I have, an 8 and a Twin). Do you know if the Console 1 works comfortably alongside the Mackie Control Universal, which I also have? My DAW is Logic X under Mac OS 10.12. I would like to use the MCU for DAW control and the Console 1 for plugin control and control of the UAD console.

TIA,

CC

Hi CC,
I've never used those pieces side by side but.........

I can't imagine there being an issue provided you're only using Console 1 in Apollo Central mode and the MCU in Logic. IOW, not trying to have Logic see/use both.

Probably a good question for Softube before you plunk down the money though!

CC, I use them side by side and love it. Frees me up quite a bit, but my DAW is Studio One and I have them set up as separate devices, I just use default settings and haven't had any issues at all.

Oh, and welcome Drew, it'll be good to have your voice here, looking forward to your contributions.

That's very good to know, thanks. They look to me as if they could be very complementary, especially since DAW control for Logic in the Console 1 is not good. For the record this is what Softube Support said:

It's not a setup that we have explicitly tested, but I can't see why they would interfere.

CC

PS welcome, Drew, from me too. There's a good number of UAD users round here and the hardware and plugins are pretty well regarded. It's good to know UAD are up for letting someone like yourself loose on the forum for us to talk to ;)

Thanks ConcertinaChap!

Welcome Drew.

I could have done with your help a few weeks ago when I asked this [stupid] question:

We're sorted now, thanks.
