Roland VS2400 external support synchronization

Postby marcello.colozza » Sat Nov 17, 2018 5:48 pm

Good morning, I'm going crazy about a problem ... can you help me? I installed your Cakewalk bandlab program and I work quite well. As a support to record use a Roland VS2400 digital recorder / mixer. I CAN NOT SYNCHRONIZE THE START BETWEEN THE ROLAND AND THE PC WHERE CAKEWALK IS INSTALLED. I looked everywhere ... and on MODIFY> Preferences I found all the "sets" of the Cakewalk. In particular the MIDI and CLOK section ... On the clock I tried to set SMPTE / MTC but I do not get anything. Previously I used Cakewalk Audio9 and I was able to make the system work. I was preparing the Cakewalk in play and then when I was running rec on Roland, I saw a time counter appear on the PC that was playing the Cakewalk play. So for every selected track I had perfect sync. Now I can not anymore ... can you give me some advice?

To make your VS2400 start when the sequencer in your computer starts, you need to update the MMC (MIDI Machine Control) setting.

This is different to synchronisation of tempo. There is more information from Roland here: ... _site=true

Posting from my phone so the above may be a mobile-only link but on a desktop you could try ... W-Software

I had a weird time in Surrey once, but that was a drummer's fault.
