Looks like a great way to explain compression, showing a before and after waveform which changes as you adjust the parameters.

It took a few different explanations before I understood compression and this seems like a good way to explain it.

Not sure if you can easily draw your own wave shape, which would be useful as a demonstrator. Looks like a hard-knee compressor, so a hard/soft-knee switch would be useful.
