Problem with MIDI mixer and sends in Reaper

Postby Elephone » Wed May 22, 2019 9:21 pm

Hi. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem with Reaper....

I simply want to create the usual aux sends, but be able to control them using a MIDI mixer.

I've got the M-Audio MIDIMIX controller, not great, but still works well generally.

When I create an FX track, and send several tracks to it, I can adjust the send volumes of each track using the mouse as expected.

But I can't seem to assign different MIDIMIX pots to control these track send volumes individually.

I go to the actions list and assign the upper pots to Track #1 send volume, Track #2 send volume, etc, and they are all assigned individual messages.

But I find the MIDIMIX pot I assigned to Track #1's send volume... also controls the send volumes of all the other tracks.

Any advice or workarounds?

I suppose I could try adding simple a volume plugin to each track and route them to the FX track, but I'm not sure if that'd create the same problem.

Thanks

Have you tried selecting the sends via the trim menu and using the learn function?
Away from my machine at the moment but hope that makes sense?
