So Im making a new mixtape with my *ahem* Apollo Twin USB With the console running my neve 1047 emu into my townsend labs sphere, la2a for volume and the oxide tape for depth! (So much tone, and when I get loud, it saturates instead of clips)
The issue is that the tone I get to feel the recording is amazing, but I feel I have to think SO MUCH MORE DIFFERENTLY to get to a nice shiny vocal.
Its a trap tape so I want the vocals to be crispy on purpose, very pop style. BUT its very hip-hop so I want this sort of classic feel. The very best example of this is Eminem's Kamikaze album.
If you got tips to get to a finished vocal consistently plz share!
If you just wanna see some music lmk too! (This is the only place I can geek out at )
