Distortion Question!

Hello, guys, I'm testing some distortion plugins I have, seeing if they produce even or odd harmonics, and I've noticed some of them produce harmonics that will be gradually lower but then they produce this high end harmonics part, the ones I marked, do you know what would be these harmonics, why do they start to gradually dissappear and then some appear again? Just a theorical doubt, thank you in advance! :)

Looks like an aliasing artefact to me.

And to me - if so, you'll notice this far more if you switch to a higher test frequency, such as 1kHz or above, as the aliasing components will end up a far bigger proportion of your frequency plot.

A recommended frequency for 44.1kHz samples that will best display the aliasing components is 993Hz.
