Autotune EFX VOCODER question

Postby dehaan » Thu Sep 24, 2020 12:32 am

I read that:
"A vocoder requires two inputs:
• 1. "Modulator" (your voice) and a
• 2. “carrier,” typically a synthesizer waveform."

I understand Antares Autotune EFX's VOCODER patch gets the modulator signal from my voice.
But where does it get the carrier signal from?
Does it get both signals from my voice?
And how do I change the carrier signal in Autotune EFX?

Chance are you'll have to send it to auto tune by sidechain input. Or it might have its own stock synth sounds
