Major notes: the hihats mask SOOOOO much distortion is CRAZY! Is this common practice?

How do I get that VOLUME without distortion??

Great track! But it sounds verrrrrrry compressed to me. Personal taste of course but I'd prefer to hear it with a little more space and light that a deeper dynamic range might give you. I kind of get a tight feeling in my chest when I hear stuff that's overly compressed but that's probably just me.
