Looks like a mixer. It clearly has recording facilities, which is good...

Maybe a new X18-ish (the one made for iPad) mixer on steroids?

Looks like somebody reading the electricity meter. Nice to see the video when it's finished.

"Dancing Queen - feel the heat from the tangerine, ooh yeah!"

Do yourself a favour, wear earplugs at gigs.

Has 3xAES50 by the looks of things so it's a serious product.
Looking from the video I/O seems to be, 3x AES50, DANTE, USB Audio, StageCOM, Wing Live?, Aux, Local, USB Drive, and possibly some others that aren't visible.

I really, really hope this is useful for studio work as well as live. To help any of you eagle-eyed folks out there I've grabbed some stills from the video:

Yeah, it does seem to have a lot going on. I hope it's primarily a mixer with recording facilities.

Personally I have absolutely zero interest in any of the fancy processing, and I really have no love of touch-screen interfaces, but for a lot of people this could be the answer to a dream.

Then it's all about price...

Oh, and here's hoping it's compatible with the P16D and clutch of P16Ms I've just invested in!! :headbang:

I would have thought so as the HD-96 has ultranet and it is also used on the Turbosound PA speakers amongst a few other products.
Plus it's a relatively easy standard to implement being essentially 2 192kHz AES/EBU streams.

I'm thinking back to last month when the Midas HD96 was announced...

That is one mighty device. Trickle-down technology?

The words 'fader wing' mentioned at 7:43. All fascinating stuff!

I think that's the nature of this beast (and the X32 in its smaller forms) - the mixer becomes a hub for whatever connectivity you choose outside it.

Yup, how many mic inputs do you need on a FOH desk? Surely most of the I/O needs to be on stage (or in the live room).
