Just of few words about myself, a couple of photos, and most importantly, my music(the only thing that could be remotely interesting about me to a visitor).

Cheers

I've had my site for about three years now - stefansingsswing - but I won't ne renewing it this year. The annual upkeep is far too expensive.

WordPress was recommended to me but I think it's more than I need. In fact, looking at other sites, I know it's more than I need. So, if anyone can suggest a cheaper alternative, I'm open to ideas.

Following our post at the top of this thread, our first record is on release, and two more are available pre-release stream.
We're getting enquiries and projects incoming for mixing and mastering so thanks to those who checked us out, if you didn't yet take a look:

Do your site as a free Wordpress site, then buy a suitable domain name and have the ISP hosting the domain name redirect it to the Wordpress site (or use your existing one but transfer it to an ISP who will do this for you). This is what we did for my wife's website, annegregson.co.uk. Shouldn't cost more than a few pounds a year with an ISP like Namesco.

Thankyou :) I didn't know I could do that. Sounds straightforward enough so I'll give it a go.

We've just launched ours, and I'm really interested in feedback about the site itself as well as the music, I can build websites no problem but making them look good is more of a challenge for me.

Nothing wrong with the appearance, and it squashes down efficiently for tablets and smartphones.

There's a sprinkling of typos, mis-placed apostrophes etc. Do you want them listed?

You don't have to write songs. The world doesn't want you to write songs. It would probably prefer it if you didn't. So write songs if you want to. Otherwise, dont. Go fishing instead.

Thanks, if you've got time to list them, go for it, otherwise I'll go on a typo hunt.

Seven years ago, we had a Flash player, and our site looked pretty ok on many computers then.

But after mobile phones, smart-phones, tablets, new versions of internet explorer, and the demise of Flash we had to do something about it.

So we revamped our site Whitelight Production and added an HTML5 Mp3 Player.

Here's mine: Jon Brooks - Music Production

I’m a professional music producer based in South Manchester and specialise in music production for film, TV, corporate branding, animation series and advertising but also work with artists.

Some of my clients and credits include: Walt Disney, Coca Cola, Saatchi and Saatchi, Sony Playstation, Jaclyn Victor (Malaysian Idol winner), BBDO, Oxford University Press, Pepsi, X-Box, Leo Burnett, KFC, Malaysia Airlines, McCann Erickson, Sony Music, Panasonic, Strepsils and Toyota…

I’ve been working professionally (locally and internationally) in audio/music production since 2002 and run a recording studio based in Cheadle Heath, Stockport. I’m able to record and produce in-house; calling in live musicians, vocalists, voice talent and other creative professionals when required. (Please see my website for studio details and demos).
