Session Musician Resources

Postby siderealxxx » Sun May 17, 2015 6:06 pm

Hi, does anyone know of any reputable and professional resources for hiring session musicians (in this case a Male Vocalist) in the UK? Either online resources or management/companies that can get you the right person for a specific job? I've trawled Gumtree (either metal heads or wedding singers - no disrespect!) and googled 'session musicians' which bring up some spurious unprofessional listings. But what I need is the kind of vocalist a pro-producer would call in. How do you find these people?! Cheers.

If you join the Musician's Union, I believe they have a searchable database of their 30,0000 or so members. Costs about 17 quid a month, but you have to sign up for a year.

This may help point you to some good resources: ... ssions.htm

I thought there were some forum members who might offer the same services, might want to PM a mod to find out for sure or not, if no one responds like that.
