Hi. I want to offer my recorded music for use in ads, TV shows & documentaries, and films. I have at least 5 professionally mixed tracks (with alt instrumental versions of each) that I'm more than 90% sure would get used if they're put infront of the right people.
I was intending to submit my stuff to Taxi.com, believing it to be a legit company that does what it claims to. However, after searching reviews of the company, it looks like it is (or was in 2012) suspicious.

One thing I personally find suspicious are the irritatingly super-nice, wacky, round-the-houses podcasts that assume you've got all day to listen to the guy rambling on.
Anyway, I really like the idea of the company model and wonder if there are any genuine £ow-ri$k alternatives that actually do offer something like that service. I mean, especially a company you've had a good experience with.
Thanks in advance

Not exactly the same business model but I've had some dealings with Sentric Music who appear to offer opportunities to get your music onto TV. I keep getting requests for material from them but I've only actually used them for collecting live royalties which seemed to work fine.

Plenty of thoughts on Taxi over on Gearslutz. I would not touch them with a barge pole. If you have to pay, stay away.

20 TV Networks Have Used My Music - Thanks TAXI!

I just wanted to share a milestone with you all and let you know what TAXI has helped me accomplish: As of my most recent BMI statement, my music has been heard on at least 20 TV networks.
If you are new to TAXI and perhaps frustrated, my advice is to hang in there, trust the TAXI process and good things will happen. “Write, submit, forget, repeat” is the saying around here! Keep honing your craft using feedback from screeners and the forums as well as info from TAXI TV. And definitely network and co-write! When I completed my first collaboration with my first collaborator, Cass McEntee, I went from a composer who was still looking for his first forward 9 months into his membership to a composer with a piece of music that would eventually be heard on TV. Not to mention I made a great friend.
Also, the Road Rally is perhaps the best benefit of your TAXI membership so don’t miss it!
If you are thinking about joining TAXI, my advice is don’t wait until you feel ready because you probably never will. Just jump in. I joined as soon as I discovered TAXI even though I didn’t even own basic recording equipment and I have never regretted it. In fact, I kick myself for not discovering TAXI sooner.
p.s. It’s been a busy year for me and I feel like I have become a stranger around here - I don’t even know half of you! Nonetheless, don’t hesitate to say hello at the rally. I love meeting new members!

You could also look at this page for more real information about TAXI's member success:
https://www.taxi.com/transmitter/deals.html
I know it's probably a bitter pill for most of the naysayers to swallow, but thousands of our members have been successful. And if these stories weren't 100% real and accurate, don't you think we would have been busted after 25 years of being in business and these stories being out there?
We also offer a Money-Back Guarantee, yet so many people choose to ignore that. You can see it on this page:
https://www.taxi.com/songwriting3/
TAXI is not a miracle cure. Don't join if you expect to become wildly successful in a hurry. It takes some time, but there's plenty of evidence to show that it works if you use TAXI the way our successful members use it.
