Rights assignments for remixes

Postby siderealxxx » Wed Aug 02, 2017 11:51 am

Hi, I've been asked to do a remix for a decent project with for potential sync placements etc and I'm being offered a flat fee. What I don't know in these circumstances is whether the publishing and master assignments should be part of the fee as a buyout or whether I should be seeking a share. Any experience on this? I'm sure it depends on status etc but I wonder if there is a standard arrangement in such circumstances. Cheers

Sounds like an ordinary contract hire and not a gig that ought to bring points.
