PRS limitations?

Postby The Bunk » Wed May 01, 2019 5:33 pm

Where I work - a health club - we have a PRS license to cover playing of music in studio classes, background music in the gym, piped music in some areas and so on.
One of our guys now wants to use a commercial bit of music as a soundtrack to a self-made video as a promotional thing to go on our Facebook / Twitter sites and has asked me if the PRS/PPL licences would cover this. I said that I doubted it but would "investigate", hence the question.

Short answer, nope. The venue licence is just that, for the venue.
