Music Tech/Art Blogs

Postby Phil Ward » Wed Aug 12, 2020 4:11 pm

Afternoon all,

I've done a binaural remix of a track by a local (Brighton) alt-folk(ish) artist and am wondering about maybe getting it some coverage in blogs that kind of straddle the line between music technology and creativity - if such things exist. Can any of you lovely folk suggest any such blogs?

Cheers

Depending on the ratio of 'alt' to 'folk' this might be worth a look: https://americana-uk.com/

Thanks for that. Interesting blog but I suspect the track will be too 'alt' and not enough 'americana" for them.

Ramirez might be a good person to ask. I notice he's been back online today so maybe worth a quick PM?

Actually, shufflebeat may be worth a chat too.

Hi Phil!

A trio of websites that might hone in towards your desires:

A Closer Listen - a home for instrumental and experimental music: https://acloserlisten.com/

Fluid Radio - Experimental Frequencies: http://www.fluid-radio.co.uk/

Drifting, Almost Falling (Investigations of minimal ambient, drone and modern classical sounds): https://driftingalmostfalling.wordpress.com/

Hope this helps!

Thanks Martin.

All interesting sites. I used to listen to Fluid Radio a lot. Don't know why I stopped and it's good to be reminded of it.

Cheers
