Hi, I have to clear out a whole bunch of kit that's in storage.

Some I will keep, some I will sell and quite a few half decent bits and pieces just need giving away. Is there anyone/anywhere that takes old kit and makes use of it somehow?

The kit is in Cambridgeshire and I don't really have time to make listings and manage all of that. I will try and formulate a list over the next couple of days.

I think The Elf is normally on the lookout for stuff he can use with a charity group he works with. :)

I've just donated various PA stuff to:

Local church my mate is connected with (I'm a godless heathen),

Local secondary school I've had dealings with in the last few years,

Local quite successful muso who has organised culturally valuable gigs over the past few years and might do again.

All have been very grateful and I feel much lighter.

Local charity shops, like Debra, take electrical's, a lot don't.
It’s difficult giving stuff away these days, schools, and various organisations that have studios are always really well equipped! Churches, well, I think they are only interested in what they need, and the simplest possible solution.
I had a clear out and ended up just giving stuff away to folks on this forum at a SoSageMeet.
If you have a list, I’d be interested, albeit in the things you are actually selling, and I’m OK to collect it.

Yeah - I bought an interesting steampunky metal table lamp at a bargain price, partly because the shop owner would only sell it to me on the understanding that it wasn't PAT tested.
