Postby lilmiood2001_ » Wed Nov 04, 2020 1:12 pm

Can i copyright my beats on copyright.gov and post them to publishing services such as TuneCore if I already have posted them on youtube and beatstore? Or can I only do that before posting my beat on yt and beatstore?

As I understand it you can register a copyright at any point once the work is fixed. Registration really only makes a difference if you intend to take legal action.

You can register at any time. This is from the copyright.gov website:

Registration can be made at any time within the life of the copyright. If you register before pub- lication, you do not have to re-register when the work is published, although you can register the published edition, if desired.
