Recently, I've found that the midi side of osx/Logic isn't happy and it's now getting to the stage whereby opening a project in Logic (latest version) causes CoreMidi to crash. I've googled this a bit and it's had me looking for odd midi drivers that shouldn't be there but it seems that most of my gear is simply class compliant, so no iffy drivers that I can see.

In the end, I think I've tracked it back to : if a device is registered in my configuration and is hooked up, but not turned on, then CoreMidi gets upset and crashes. So now, when I open a project, I ensure that anything that I am now using isn't connected (or is powered on).

Very bizarre - anyone else found anything similar?
