Note that these features have been in Garageband (iOS) for ages...

And the default installation of Logic hides the advanced menu options so that it appears welcoming to Garageband users. So it could well be that those users are missing features they use extensively in Garageband.

Well, it hide Logic's advanced tools so it dumbs down Logic to be more like Garageband - but even in this mode it has more features than GB, it's not like it makes Logic *worse* than GB.

(Those features referenced above are only in the iOS version of GB, they are not in the GB OSX version or Logic. Yet.)

If things get too serious at your session you could always take a 10 minute Logic DJ break!
