There's crazier ones! How about French keyboards which have along the top row, which are "normally" the number keys 1-9,0 etc, with shifted special characters - the French keyboards have the special characters as the "normal" unshifted characters, with the number keys 1-9,0 etc only available with the shift key!

I remember decades ago one of those little organisers, can't remember which one, instead of QWERTY had AZERTY.

Glad you got it working. Note that you can get different layouts for keyboards, for example my laptops have UK keyboards but I use a US external keyboard. Depending on the OS you can choose a setting to match the keyboard or switch between then. I often just get into the groove of the keyboard I'm using and find the correct keys for what I want.

It can be a problem though because some combinations don't provide some characters: I think "|" is the difficult one.
