Hi Folks,
I had to install a new HDD on my system and I went with Catalina.

Not wanting to pay waves $240 for the Waves Update Plan, I came across this article.

I was just wondering if anyone here had tried this type of approach or if it looks suspect.

It's only a solution if it works. ;)

All it's really doing is changing the files that tell the installer whether your OS qualifies for installing it or not - it doesn't say anything about whether those plugin versions do actually work on your system.

If you want to try, give it a try. Make backups before you start.

I backed up and tried it and it worked. Very happy.
