Surely there must be a way to choose quarter note (crotchet) half-note (Minim) dotted crotchet, etc without having to mouse over the note type in question. Surely there must be a keyboard shortcut for that?
Anyone out there know if there is?
Cheers

General tip: For these types of queries, you don't need to post on a forum asking about key commands - the quickest way to find a key command is to open the key command window and use the search field to search for adequate phrases, like eg "note".
If you do that. you'll see there are available key commands for the various note types (Part Box... xx) and you can assign them to whatever keys that make sense for your workflow (if they are currently unassigned.)
You can also nose around the "Score" section and browse through the available key commands, and assign any unassigned ones you like the look of for your workflow. You can learn a lot from doing this from time to time.
