Airplane mode.

Postby ef37a » Wed Nov 14, 2018 11:38 am

Been dipping into my prezzie, W10 for Dummies and came upon this mode and it seems a useful "one stop shop" to kill all wireless functions on a laptop.

Naturally this stops any Wi Fi internet usage but, does this kill network use on copper Ethernet?

I can by the way recommend the book. Had just a few minutes with it but already found the above plus a couple of other tips that I was not aware of.

I don't think so. I believe the Flight Mode just kills the wireless comms such as wifi, bluetooth, NFC etc.

Indeed I have, and I must say that Hugh looked in pretty good shape. Quite why he wanted to do my Studio SOS in his birthday suit remains a mystery though.
