Duplicate File Finder?

Postby twotoedsloth » Mon Apr 05, 2021 3:49 pm

Greetings,

Thanks for taking the time to read and/or respond to this.

Quick question:

Does anyone know of a program that will find duplicate files on a local hard drive?

Many thanks,

Peter

I've used the duplicate file finder in CCleaner which seemed to work fine.

Quick question. I've always avoided doing this because I'm not sure how it works. If I have copied a drum sample for example into a Cubase project, & saved or even archived the project, will CCleaner automatically delete one destination or the other?

It doesn't automatically delete the files - it just gives you a list of duplicate files and asks you what you want to do with them.

Thanks James, I'll give it a try. I was just concerned it would start deleting stuff automatically & if you've ever tried hitting the 'cancel' button on CCleaner, then you'll already know it's just there for show.
