MIDI Touch controller app, similar GUI to Korg iKaossilator?

Postby Agharta » Wed Feb 07, 2018 10:36 am

I’m enjoying the Korg Kaossilator on my 5.5” Android phone and wondering if there are any Apps for iOS, Android or Windows that offer a similar touch screen keyboard layout but with MIDI output that can be sent to a Windows PC?
It’s only the keyboard controller side of the Korg app that interests me not the audio side.
It maps a keyboard in 2D on the screen and you can set the key and the scale.
The keyboard layout is square with the pitch rising as you move left to right and bottom to top although other parameters could be controlled via MIDI as well as pitch.
Having a larger screen than a phone would open up other possibilities including keyboard splits etc.
Any ideas?

If you were a prisoner of iOS I would say yes for sure. Either through Bluetooth or hard wired. There are some very imaginative layouts in iOS appland.
The only thing I can suggest is to visit some of the app sites like Music App Blog or Music App News and see if they list if an app is both iOS and android. If I get any more ideas I'll post them here for you.
