And if so, do you have Firm Views on their merit or otherwise ?

I trust it is ok to copy in links to other forums?

I have a V-Type and a greenback in a 2x12 open back cab. Both sound very fine.
The cab is wired to allow me to play either or both so I can compare. The V-Type is a bit clearer/crisper, I sometimes find it a bit sharp on it's own, but I'm inclined to mellowness. The pair together though, that definitely hits the spot. YMMV

I've never liked a solo violin, you need at least five for a proper fire.

Shouldn't that be 'FIFY'?

Always used 'that' rather than 'it'.

And shouldn't it be G-V testing ?

Yes , it's the most literal adaption but in my own little world of Wonky logic, no.

V rhymes with B, but G doesn't rhyme with A. You also move a bit too too far away from the original 'A-B testing' to keep the best continuity.

I stand corrected.

Didn't there used to be a TV programme called Jim'll FIFY ? It all ended rather badly, I believe. Presumably Jim mis-interpreted one of the Fs.

In a moment of insight, I visited the Matamp website.

Matamp use them in lots of their cabs, which is the highest praise I can imagine.
