experts on guitar tuning?

Postby oliviakennedy » Sat May 26, 2018 12:02 pm

I think that Zen's being a little harsh here. I'm more concerned that you've paid a luthier a shedload of cash to do work designed to fix a basic problem and he's given them back to you without that problem being sorted! Did you explain to the guy that your basic problem was tuning? Did he comment on the fact that you may not need all the extra parts? Unless it was a freebie from a mate, I'd be a bit narked!.....

This could be fun. Invent a question but don't post it, just the reply. Then we can all guess what the question was.

Sorry, chore avoidance post.

The various options seem to me to be:

1) Adjust the trem spring tension
2) Fit a humbucker to replace the single coil
3) Change the tone capacitor value
4) Use a notched straight edge and adjust the truss rod until the neck is level
5) Swap to a bass
6) Wibble.

But never on a Tuesday; unless it's in October, when it is permissible but you need to use rubber gloves.

Hey Boss, I know I don’t ‘ave to apologise to you sir… but anyway…

I think you should’ve nipped it in the bud earlier cos its been going on a long time and I really don’t mind all the pathetic infantile drivel that’s aimed at me, mainly from ‘im but others too, but it sully’s the site as well as me and in my name too…

And it’s me that’s not doin’ meself any favours?

I also don’t understand why you’re peeved with me correcting the writer, unless of course you or others can point me in the direction of Geniuses greater than those I mentioned…. and then I’ll apologise and admit my ignorance in such matters.

As I’ve never personally offended anyone here or elsewhere online I’d like you to scrap that comment and this reply as it also sully’s this fairly decent gaff…

Cheers man, er, boss, erm, Bossman.

Hmm, perhaps it was my, ‘I’d like you to’ should’ve phrased that differently as your suspicious minds will take that as an order, anyhoo, makes no diff to moi I’m ‘appy if you are, was doin’ it for thee not me… no one is above criticism except perhaps geniuses… and maybe clever bastards eh.
