It is simply last week's guitar that was late arriving. You can tell your wife that just over a week ago I introduced my wife to my 25th guitar (not including the 3 kits I'm building for myself) and survived.

Flowers help.

Now even grumpier than Ivan in his heyday.

All this talk of more guitars is aggravating my GAS. Last time I bought a guitar I actually sold 5 (plus a banjo but that probably doesn't count). I did buy two new guitars though both of which are my main instruments three years on, the Emerald X7 and the Aylward Selmer style. That gets me down to 8 guitars, none of which are disposable (though I may sell the Japanese D45 and buy a Collings D2H if I can find one at a decent price next year).

I've just sold a sub on ebay but that's going into the new boat fund rather than for another guitar

Well, I still haven't found the right moment to announce the latest member of the guitar family but, fortunately, the visit to my parents this afternoon passed without incident.

I have been playing the Tele a lot but, since I used to own a similar looking Telecaster Lite Ash (which I sold maybe seven or eight years ago), my wife probably thinks that it's found its way to the top of the pile (similar to the way that I always wear whichever t-shirt is first out of the draw).

I knew a guy who's clothes drawer contained a stack of identical black tee shirts and another of identical black jeans (history doesn't relate his choice of underwear, at least in my world). Made is morning choices pretty simple methinks......

And if your mother does attempt to drop you in the smelly stuff, you can just roll your eyes at your wife, do the 'yes mother ... I do have another guitar and this isn't one I've already had for years so you're not going senile" type comment and make other soothing noises. Maybe mentioning something about today's kids and when spam really tasted like spam.

A good enough performance and you should get away with it.... ;)

Possibly time to draw a discreet veil over this conversation and merely enjoy the fact that MusicWorf, ahem, that is to say, MusicWolf's friend, has a new toy to play with.
