Anyone a Boss RC-30 expert?

Postby Madraykin » Sat Sep 08, 2018 7:43 pm

Hi all. I'm revisiting a song I was in the process of writing months ago. I have a rough recording of how it was going so I know I'm not dreaming that this is possible.

I record something simple on Track 1 then switch to Track 2 to build a little. Double tap to stop both tracks and then I'm sure I was able to restart them both at the same time a few beats afterwards. However try as I might I can't get them both to restart at the same time! The song goes on to do this a couple of times, then I cut out Track 2 and then finally stop Track 1 at the end of the song.

It's driving me crazy - does anyone know how to restart both tracks at once or was I genuinely dreaming that I did it? Any help hugely appreciated!

Thanks Hewesy - I had seen that but it wouldn't be as fast as I did it before. To switch channels twice and get to this stage would take 5-6 seconds and I only have about that much time between stopping and restarting the tracks.

Perhaps that was how I did it before but I'm sure it was easy and not frantic. Hmmmmmm

Maybe a bit of comping required perhaps, or fill the gap with hitting a chord or something?

That was all a google search revealed, perhaps you were less pressured last time?

I worked it out - I was being a plonker, I still had Track 1 running at all times it just didn't register. I feel like an idiot now!

Now even grumpier than Ivan in his heyday.

...and also told us the reason for the problem, which may help someone else in the future.

Sounds like another positive to me! ;)
