I have searched everywhere and can not find any schematics on the Electro Harmonix Mel 9 guitar pedal. Can anyone help?

If it's for a repair, have you tried actually asking EHX... or are you just looking to clone it? :headbang:

It's still a new proprietary product, which relies very much on its software to work. Why would you expect the schematics to exist on the net? The whole EH x9 products are a common hardware box with different software in each one. EH will have their own authorised repair network, and I wouldn't expect them to be spreading the information beyond that whilst it's still a current product.

I understand that but I can get any other EHX schematic on line but not that one

Might just be the newness of it?

You won't be able to make one because you need the firmware to make it work. The EH circuit schematics you have found have been reverse engineered by people from their all-analogue effects, and the occasional basic digital circuit like a delay. I can't see any that involve micro-processors because without the software/firmware and basic operating system (if they are updatable), they are worthless. Also many of the chips used will be surface mount only, which whilst not totally beyond the bounds of home construction, will be for 99.5% of most DIY builders.

Those are digital stuff. It’s like you say you’re gonna try to make a DIY Kemper

As above I dare say someone will post a schematic of the pedal itself which you could copy but it is the propitiatory software the "9" series pedals run which you won't be able to copy.

Well, unless anyone gets to the point of removing the chips and copying them/flashing to blank and selling via eBay, which seems a tad specialist...

Yeah, that's what I was getting at... I can understand wanting to trace faults in the analogue stages, and having a schematic to hand could be helpful for that. But the digital side of things isn't going to be DIY-able. Certainly not at this stage, at any rate. (And if you do already have the chops to do that, you might as well found a company and make something else that's amazing instead!)
